How CRS credit repair works

Understand your credit. Get help with your next steps.

Your $499 CRS service fee covers guidance, advice, and scheduled appointments throughout your credit repair process. No upfront CRS service payment.

Four simple steps

Know what to expect.

1

Review and enroll

Read the agreement, services, costs, and cancellation rights. When you are ready, enroll online and activate the separate SmartCredit membership: $1 for 7 days, then $29.98 per month until canceled.

2

Understand your reports

CRS reviews the available information and explains it in everyday language. You confirm which accounts, payments, balances, or personal details may be wrong.

3

Work through your questions

Use scheduled appointments for guidance on your reports, supporting documents, and possible errors. When the facts support a concern, CRS may help you prepare a clear request for an investigation.

4

Review updates together

Review available responses and discuss your next steps during the process. Once the credit repair process is complete, you may cancel SmartCredit. The later CRS payment conditions still apply.

When is the $499 paid?

CRS service fee: $499 total. Payment to CRS today: $0. CRS may request the fee only after the agreed services are complete and every applicable payment condition in the written agreement is met. Six months alone does not make the fee due. Results vary.

CRS does not request or collect its flat $499 service fee upfront. For transactions covered by the Telemarketing Sales Rule, CRS may request the fee only after the time period represented for the services has ended, the agreed services have been fully performed, and CRS has provided a qualifying consumer report issued more than six months after any represented result was achieved and showing that result. Six months alone does not make the fee due. Results are not guaranteed. The written agreement controls.

How long do I need SmartCredit?

Keep SmartCredit active while CRS is working on your credit-repair process. Once CRS finishes that process, you may cancel. CRS does not require you to keep the membership during the later wait for the report needed to assess payment eligibility.

Keep realistic expectations

Results and timing vary. No deletion, score change, approval, financing, or completion date is guaranteed. Accurate, current negative information generally cannot be removed simply because it is negative.

You may dispute information you believe is inaccurate or incomplete directly with the credit bureaus and the companies reporting it, without hiring CRS.

Your written agreement explains the exact services, completion requirements, fee, and payment conditions.
